How this estimate is calculated
Base fees are multiplied by the number of musicians. Extra on-site time and preparation use one quarter of the selected base fee as an hourly planning rate. Direct costs, buffer and any VAT are then added. The extra-time formula is Dionysia’s planning assumption, not an official tariff rule.
The visible performance is only one part of the job. A realistic quote can also cover rehearsal or arrangement work, load-in and waiting time, travel, hired production, accommodation and administration. Separating these items makes the quote easier to explain and negotiate.
The published 2026 minimum tariff gives a useful floor for professional work from 1 April. Name recognition, demand, ensemble size, exclusivity, travel and production can justify a different fee. Dionysia does not yet have enough completed bookings to publish a reliable market average.
