How this estimate is calculated
Base fees are multiplied by the number of musicians. Extra on-site time and preparation use one quarter of the selected base fee as an hourly planning rate. Direct costs, buffer and any VAT are then added. The extra-time formula is Dionysia’s planning assumption, not an official tariff rule.
Lineup size has the largest visible effect, but travel, date, demand, preparation, production and the amount of time on site can matter just as much. A venue with suitable sound and light may have a very different total budget from an empty event space.
Start with the number of musicians and a fee per musician. Add only costs you expect to carry. Keep uncertain production or logistics visible as separate lines, then use a buffer rather than hiding uncertainty inside the artist fee.
